Make your own banh mí

Today we celebrated Clover turning one with close friends and family. When we celebrate (anything) it usually involves food. So when we were semi planning her party the first thing we did was think of cuisines we liked, we both said Vietnamese.

We wanted a make your own banh mí station so kids and adults alike can put together a roll with whatever they want. To make it as hassle free as possible I asked my sister’s friend to see if he could put together an off the menu menu for us. And he totally delivered.

Fresh rolls, assortment of cold cuts, veges, home cooked meatballs, mayonnaise, pate and salads on the side was not only bright and colourful but oh so tasty.

Clover wandered among her guests chewing on a crusty roll, doing her own thing and smiling that classic smile of hers.

A delicious spread, a happy vibe and company that was full of energy is the best way to celebrate our daughters birthday. It was also our way of saying thanks to everyone for their continued support since Clover was in my belly. Life is awesome.
