I spent yesterday morning at the San Francisco Zen Center getting a sneak peak and a little play with Ikebana. According to Wikipedia, Ikebana (生け花, “living flowers”) is the Japanese art of flower arrangement, also known as kadō (華道 the “way of flowers”) .
It was a beautiful way to spend the morning, taking my time, choosing the flower and placing them in a way to fit with the tiny blue vase.
