I watched the new Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran video clip for
“Everything Changes” [see below] as I ate my lunch and I couldn’t
stop grinning. I love how they stayed true to the innocence and curiosity of
the children. I loved the words “I just want to know you better”,
because what’s more rewarding than getting to know someone better? To make deeper
connections and simply understand each other even more.
As I finished my meal, I walked back into the mall behind a
family of three. Mum was walking beside dad who was carrying their little
girl’s bag, as the little girl twirled, skipped and hopped in her baby pink taffeta
dress. It was pretty darn cute. As we walked through the doors, the little girl
(maybe 6 or 7) discovered a wall installation that mimicked your movement while
turning your shadow into a pixelated image projected on a large floor to ceiling
screen. It so sweet to watch as she danced in front of the screen while her
parents hung back and giggled.
It’s always heart warming to see just how a simple act of dancing
can bring such joy in so many people.
