After my two hour beginners class I have a one-on-one tutor with Sister Van. Despite only having a small 20-30 minute window four days a week, I’ve grown quite fond of her and her curiosity and braveness to ask questions. One day we took a walk through the gardens and the tables turned. I felt like a little kid asking what fruits and vegetables were popping out of the ground. She smiled with her kind eyes and explained what she could and described what she knew. I often forget just how reenergising it is to go for a walk, ask questions and have a little chat with good company. It’s the simple things that always make me smile.
