As the queue grew to board our flight from Tokyo to Ho Chi
Minh City, Tim and I stood in the little kiosk, counting our yen to see what how
much we could in order to get rid of all our loose change. We ended up buying a
can of Calpis and little pink matcha and sakura flavoured KitKats. We drank the
Calpis, saved the KitKats and hopped on plane.
Exhausted and sleep deprived, I woke up on Saturday morning
with a migraine. I managed to head down to breakfast, ate my weight in food
(sort of) and then just had to lie down. I flopped on the bed and immediately remembered
the KitKat. I laid in bed, nibbled my the white chocolate, green tea and pink
blossom goodness and watched the rest of How to lose a guy in 10 days. I felt
so relaxed and simply content with the world. To top it off, I had a nice hot
bath then headed out to search for sim cards and coffee. I felt so much better.
It’s amazing what a mini break can do.
